History
Top Model (originally Miss Top Model UK) was founded in 2007 and started life as a small model search with just 16 finalists.
The event quickly outgrew its original venue and in 2010 moved to the much larger Hilton London Metropole, which was to become its home for 10 successful years.
In 2019 Top Model updated the show format and became a shared event between the Amba Hotel Charing Cross and The Royal Horseguards Hotel. From 2023 onwards, Top Model takes another giant leap forward in a new home, the prestigious Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, London.
Top Model remains the leading model search awards and fashion event in the UK and has grown to include licenced events in Australia, South Africa, Bngladesh, Estonia, Bahamas, BVI and Brazil, with more being added.
Top Model has charity at the heart of its ethos and has raised almost £300,000 for sick children and children in need since 2010. In 2021 the Top Model event formally became part of The Top Model Foundation non-profit charity, meaning that even more funds go to helping sick children and children in need across the UK.

In 2017, the Top Model family and the model world was struck with tragedy when our model coach, former finalist and dear friend Sophie Fraser-Smith was taken from us in a tragic road accident at the age of just 21. The Top Model ‘Sophie Fraser-Smith Pride & Inspiration Award’ is now presented annually in memory of how she inspired us all to be better people, to be kind to those less fortunate and to take care of our environment.
